Everything You Need to Know: Bright Fantasy
The breathtaking Milotic has splashed in and will feature as the mascot of Bright Fantasy.
Now some say that this Pokémon is the most beautiful of all the Pokémon. Now we know everyone has their favourites, but we just can’t see Milotic beating our long-time BAE: Bruxish*. Just take a long look at those well-matched and subtle colours and who doesn’t get lost in those big, luscious eyes! We’ll take your votes below.

Typical to all Simplified Chinese sets, the name of the set is open for interpretation, so you may also know it as “Brilliant Fantasy” or even “Brilliant Illusion.” Sorry for the confusion folks 😉
* Interest and somewhat unrelated fact: Bruxism is the stress-based grinding or gnashing** of teeth (asleep or awake)!
** What is the difference between grinding and gnashing anyway?

Bright Fantasy Booster Pack Design
Based on Pokémon’s release history in China, this release will be available in two variants: a jumbo version and a slim version.
- Slim Booster Pack
- Jumbo Booster Pack
What is the difference between them?
- Number of cards
- Hit difference!
The Jumbo Pack contains 20 cards in a pack (seen on the pack’s top left corner in red).
The Slim Pack contains 5 cards in a pack (seen on the pack’s top left corner in black).
Collector’s Tip: There are no guaranteed SR’s in EITHER of the boxes. This has changed since the release of Brave Stars back in 2024.
And now for the important hit rates. See below…
Collector’s Tip: Jumbo Boxes have the chance of a “God Box”. That means each pack will contain a SR rarity and above in Every. Single. Pack! Remember to give your lucky Jirachi cards a rub for a little extra luck. Or Bruxish, if that’s how you roll. We don’t judge. 😉
How many Cards will be in this set?
264* cards! This will be the largest Scarlet & Violet set to date. This does not count the reverse Poké balls and Master balls too.
* Unrelated fact, +264 is the international dialling code for Namibia!
Let’s chat cards…
Bright Fantasy will include cards from Surging Sparks, Shrouded Fable, Stellar Crown and Twilight Masquerade. Based on the cards revealed, this set will be celebrating Pokémon from Kitakami Village, which is a location featured in the “Teal Mask” expansion of the Scarlet & Violet Switch game.

Did you know: Kitakami Village
- It’s inspired by rural Japan and heavily based on traditional Japanese countryside towns. The architecture, lanterns and rice fields give it a different feel from Paldea (the open-world region featured in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet)
- The village revolved around the Festival of Masks, celebrating the legendary Loyal Three and Ogerpon. The mask tie into the region’s myths and lore.
- It’s casually misidentified. Most players call the area Kitakami Village, but the main settlement you explore is Mossui Town, the heart of the region.
Breakdown of the cards revealed..
55 total cards have been revealed (we will have the full set list up a week prior to launch as that is when the card list is then unveiled). Let’s have a look at the origins of these cards.
Twilight Masquerade made up 61.8% of the revealed cards, Shrouded Fable has 21.8%, Surging Sparks has 12.7% and Stellar Crown has 3.7% of the revealed cards.
