Everything You Need To Know – Gem Pack Vol 2
As you might imagine (big hint in the name), Gem Pack have released another volume: Simplified Chinese Pokemon Gem Pack Vol 2! This time celebrating Eevee and its Eeveelutions!
Note: Eevee has the most possible total evolutions of any Pokémon. As of Generation 9, Eevee has a whopping 8 evolutions, each corresponding to a different type: Vaporeon (Water), Jolteon (Electric), Flareon (Fire), Espeon (Psychic), Umbreon (Dark), Leafeon (Grass), Glaceon (Ice), Sylveon (Fairy). This is important for later – trust us! 😉
This all makes Eevee the most evolvable Pokémon – a why there’s a special place in our hearts for this pointy eared fluffy maned cutie pie.
The Simplified Chinese Gem Pack Vol 2 will release in Mainland China on: 16 May 2025.

Rarity
Following Gem Pack Vol. 1, they are continuing with the unique rarity system in the Simplified Chinese Gem Pack Vol 2 – only found in the Gem Pack Series (in Simplified Chinese Pokemon).
Namely:
- Common ●
- Uncommon ◆
- Rare ★
- Double Rare ★★

Of the 4 cards in each pack, 3 are either ● or ◆ rarity and the remainder card is either ★, ★★, or ★★★ rarity. Meaning, you’re going to get something special in each pack – depending on how you look at it. 😉
EXCLUSIVE Cards!
4 (Four, 四, Quattro, Vier, Cuatro, etc…) new illustration cards have been designed specifically for this set. Note: we’re looking at Simplified Chinese exclusive cards only (get those orders in)!
The cards feature Leafeon, Sylveon, Umbreon and Eevee, and when you put the cards next to one another, they depict a collective image of all of them playing in a forest. That all said, we feel Leafeon is the one that mostly deserves to be in a forest, followed closely by Sylveon, then Umbreon (maybe at night), and finally the OG, Eevee – first, last and everywhere in-between.

Collectors Tip: All four cards have been designed by “HYOGONOSUKE”. This name may be familiar to you as he designed Team Rocket’s Orbeetle AR in the Glory of Team Rocket set and the Leafeon VMAX Alternate art from Evolving Skies (seems fitting). He is known for his soft, painterly aesthetics with a hand-drawn, storybook-like quality as well as illustrating separate cards that connect into a larger image (the image below is made up of 9 different cards!) Another reason to Collect ‘Em All.

Reverse Holos, Stamps and More!
Eevee and all its 8 Eeveelutions (see, told you), will contain a total of 15 variants (yes, you read that right!). The variants will also NOT be variants of the same card, like we saw in Gem Pack Vol. 1. It will be a total of 15 (fifteen. No, not doing that again) different cards celebrating each of the Eeveelutions. This will include reverse energies, Gem Pack stamped logo, V & VMAX cards, as well as the four full art illustrations shown above.

*Tales from the Poké-Vault
- Eevee has held a special place in our hearts since appearing in Pokémon Red and Blue (released in 1996 in Japan on the Game Boy). Eevee, being a special Pokémon that could evolve into multiple forms, made it unique and highly popular among fans from the start.
- In the games, Eevee is given to the player by Professor Oak in Celadon City as a gift, marking its debut in the series.
- Eevee also appeared in the anime for the first time in Episode 36 (“Pokémon Emergency!”) of the original series, where it was featured alongside Ash Ketchum and his team.
Love for Eevee is felt by Pokémon fans everywhere…
